Italian Breads Focaccia, Ciabatta & Grissini’s
Beautiful Italian enriched olive oil breads
Learn the art of Italian bread making with the most gorgeous Focaccia’s, Grissini’s & Ciabatta’s using delicious olive oil, parmesan, sun dried tomatoes, olives we will create fantastic Italian breads which are so versatile with so many dishes.
10am - 3pm
The Italian bread class:
You will have a very warm welcome at the bakehouse in these summer months with a homemade Elderflower sparkling cool drink and a homemade sweet treat to start our day together.
10am: Welcome and an introduction to Italian breads
10:30am: We will make our own focaccia dough and leave to shape & prove whilst we turn to the pre prepared ciabatta biga, as this is a very wet dough I will show you how to mix the final dough in my Kitchen Aid before we let it rest.
12pm: We will move onto making our Grissini dough and shape our Focaccia’s before we have some refreshments and take a short walk to the local allotments to gather herbs.
12:45pm: We will add toppings to our focaccia, cut and shape our ciabatta and roll out our grissini’s!
1:45pm I will show you how to bake the different Italian breads whilst you enjoy some time in the garden before we share in a seasonal lunch tasting the focaccia, ciabatta and grissini’s we have made together
2:30pm: We will have some time for any further questions you may have before sending you home with a passion for Olive oil breads.
